2020: JazzJune Year in Review

2020: JazzJune Year in Review image

There is no disputing that 2020 has been historic and challenging. And so we want to end on a brighter note taking this moment to thank you for your continued encouragement and support as we reflect with gratitude on a year full of some key successes and milestones.

While JazzJune began as the brainchild of Eric Matas and Alex Londo, it took tremendous strides in 2020 as we welcomed a third partner, Jason Skog, as a co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer in May. He began building our brand, developing website content, writing blog posts, hosting podcasts and sharing the JazzJune message across our social media platforms.

We also wouldn’t be where we are without our graphic design guru Julie Sedens, a former colleague of Jason’s. Julie gave us a huge visual boost designing the JazzJune logo (including our “vibes” here) along with our overall look and feel across our digital channels. Julie has even begun designing the JazzJune app for mobile and tablet devices, so stay tuned!

Last spring, JazzJune hired Rainer Erani as the company’s first intern. Rainer proved invaluable as our Business Operations Specialist, identifying new leads for education and business partners, developing better workflows, generating exciting social media content and campaigns and writing blog pieces.

And without the keen knowledge and determination of our web developer Max Vogel, we would never have the cleanly styled website and beta platform we have now. Max’s amazing talent with website design and functionality has catapulted JazzJune to a whole new level. With the strong web presence and impressive beta platform, JazzJune is poised to hit the ground running in 2021.

Most recently, JazzJune welcomed Ryan O’Keefe to the team. His first order of business was to complete his Instructional Design certificate from the University of Minnesota. His instructional design knowledge adds nicely to his already prolific content development talents. We can’t wait to see how he continues to help us grow and thrive.

In October we announced the launch of our crowdfunding campaign with our first official press release. And if you haven’t yet had a chance to contribute, please consider doing so.

And as we begin 2021, we are excited to announce that our platform is now in beta. If you, or someone you know, needs a win with online learning, join our beta today by clicking here and making a $25 donation, which gives you a free year on JazzJune and a beta invitation!

While 2020 has been a year of tremendous challenges, we are proud of the progress we have made given the circumstances. We look forward to even bigger and better things in the coming year and hope you will join us on this journey as we seek to revolutionize remote learning.

Alex, Eric and Jason
